I am a psychotherapist who believes in human development, transformation, and integration through deep self reflection, awareness, action, and practice.
My therapeutic approach is integrative informed by humanistic, psychodynamic and family systems theories. Anchored by social justice, ecological, and liberation approaches.
I am devoted to rethink the psychiatric “disease” model for diagnosing and treating mental, emotional, relational health challenges. I am more curious about individual’s strengths and different ways to support people as they navigate life’s challenges.
Mental, emotional, relational, and health challenges are informed by a whole battery of external and internal sources. The charge is to engage in reflection and exploration about what are going to be important steps in shifting one’s mental, emotional, and relational wellness.
I am interested in supporting individuals, couples, and groups in guiding them to decolonize and liberate their understanding of themselves and create new affirmative understandings that will catalyze their wellness.
« When an inner situation is not brought to consciousness, it manifests itself in our life in the form of destiny.» -Carl Jung
My goal as a psychotherapist is to create a trusting and supportive relationship in which people can explore their experiences, get curious about what informs it and overcome barriers that limit their full potential.
I consider the whole person and her/his/their ecosystem, which means I consider all elements within your world that play an active role in shaping your life. This includes your emotional and physical health, your relationships, your history, your work, your habits, and your interests, among others relevant dimensions of a person’s wellbeing.
I am a Florida Licensed Mental Health Counselor, Vermont Clinical Mental Health Counselor, Florida Board Certified Clinical Supervisor, a National Certified Counselor, and currently applying for licensure in Oregon.
