My goal as a psychotherapist is to create a trusting and supportive relationship in which clients can explore their experiences, develop insight, and overcome barriers that limit their full potential.
I take an open-hearted approach to your psychological, emotional, and relational WellBeing, and consider your experience from all threads of your life: public, personal, cultural, gender, sexuality, spiritual, abilities, language, geography, work-life, family traditions, etc.
I consider the whole person and their ecosystem, which means I consider all elements within your world that play an active role in shaping your life. This includes your emotional and physical health, your relationships, your history, your work, your habits, and your interests, among other relevant dimensions of your WellBeing.
Life’s challenges are informed by a whole battery of external and internal sources. The goal is to engage in reflection and exploration about what are going to be useful steps in shifting one’s wellness.
My therapeutic approach is integrative and informed by humanistic, psychodynamic, and family systems theories. It is also anchored by social justice, ecological, and liberation approaches.
I am interested in supporting individuals and groups in guiding them to understanding themselves and create new affirmative understandings that will catalyze an improvement in their wellness.
